What Is Cyberbullying and How Do You Recognise It?

May 13, 2025 · Sveti Ivan Zelina

Impressions

The children learned about different forms of cyberbullying, such as insults, intimidation, belittling, exclusion from a group, spreading false information... The main focus was on how to protect ourselves and who to turn to if we become victims of or witnesses to violence on the internet. The children created their own code of conduct for the internet, which is important to have as a guide to responsible behaviour online. We also did a small survey. Two participants said they had experienced a form of online violence – insults – while the others said they had not experienced violence themselves but had witnessed it online. Most often it made them feel sad, angry, upset, confused and surprised. Our responsibility is clear – to protect children online.
